The Company was founded in 1978 by Barry & Neil Thompson as a small fencing contractor. Originally based on Gladstone Street in Hull, the company grew from strength to strength moving from supplying and installing fencing to private properties, to fulfilling local council and commercial building contracts to large areas across the region.

With the increased demand and limited space and equipment the main site was moved to Thomas Street in Hull in 1996, along with the purchase of several acres of storage land and new equipment, transport and machinery.

Since the move, Thompson's Fencing have established ourselves as providing high quality goods and services to all clients, offering a reliable specialist contractor service and have done so for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on the continuous delivery of high-quality fencing ranging from small bespoke domestic work to large commercial and high security projects. Thompson Fencing Ltd specialises in all aspects from supply to installation of timber and steel fencing and gate products.

With a large highly skilled and mobile workforce Thompson Fencing Ltd can deliver on all contracts across the UK. Although Thompson Fencing Ltd are a large Fencing contractor, we are still a family run business with the 2 senior Directors (now retired) still being Barry Thompson & Neil Thompson.

In 2008 Matthew Thompson entered the business after working for the firm from 16 years old on and off as he did his degree.

Matthew Thompson and Steve Atkinson are now the 2 managing directors responsible for the continued growth and success of the company.

The company still takes pride in offering a friendly, professional service which has resulted in client relationships spanning decades.
